The Contract Manager position is responsible for demonstrating strong attention to detail and the ability to discover potential risks for our company. The successful candidate should also analyze contracts to reduce costs and increase profits while ensuring compliance with the law.

Our ideal candidate has previous experience administering contracts and is familiar with legal requirements and terms of use. Ultimately, the candidate should ensure all our contracts/agreements conform to legislative requirements and meet our company goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day interface with external customers, vendors, and company management on contractual matters related to all contracts.
  • Explains terms and conditions to managers and interested parties.
  • Cradle-to-grave administration of a variety of contract documents, including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements between the company and clients, pricing agreements, business operation agreements, etc.
  • Review contracts for conformity with standard terms, identify risks, recommend revisions, and negotiate changes.
  • Focus on handling both government and commercial contracts and coordinating with procurement.
  • Ensure protection of the company's contractual/risk posture and adherence to company policies.
  • Determine whether to escalate issues to the company's in-house counsel.
  • Maintain files for assigned contracts.
  • Maintain and provide status tracking from request to execution.
  • Collaborate effectively with other groups (sales and service team, technical team, project management office, account managers, accounting/finance) during all phases of the contract lifecycle.
  • Participate in the preparation and analysis of pricing policies, pricing agreements, and agreements of sale.
  • Maintain and update contract templates (as approved by Legal), contractual records, changes, status reports, and other information.
  • Manage the structure, processes, support, and growth of the department.
  • Assist and provide training to other departmental contract professionals.
  • Assist management on other business-related issues.
  • Review and update existing contracts, creating language standards for existing and new contracts.
  • Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts.
  • Conduct special projects as assigned.
  • Align departmental goals and projects in support of company objectives.
  • Promotes safety awareness and provides safe work environment
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the General Manager, safety officer, or human resources.

Required Experience

  • BA or BS degree in Business or related field
  • Additional qualification in law is a plus.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in contract management and administration
  • Prior supervisor/management experience: Preferred
  • Knowledge of contracting concepts, business contract terms, and ability to interpret legal and business terms and clauses across contract types: Required
  • Hands-on contract management experience, working with contract redlining, and familiarity with the contracting process: Required
  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFAR (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation), CFR (Code of Federal Regulations), and other related regulations is a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient use of MS Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
  • (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems experience are a plus.
  • Valid Drivers' License

Job Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
  • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 10%) domestically and internationally

Physical Requirements

  • Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
  • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
  • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
