Business Development Manager - High Value Metals Tubular and Solid Profiles

We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager - High Value Metals Tubular and Solid Profiles for one of our clients and this role is a fully remote role.

The business isn't a commodity business and instead it's a very specialist and niche company that does relatively low volumes, but relatively high margins and they pride themselves taking on the complex, tough contracts that other businesses don't want to work on. In addition, they are a forward-thinking organisation that is part of a huge, financially robust and well-respected group and brand who set the standards within the market with their exceptional and wide-ranging product range and on-time delivery service.

The ideal candidate must have strong Sales, Business Development or Commercial experience in High Value Metals Tubular and Solid Profiles, alternatively they will consider candidates with experience of Commercial Metals or High Value Metals, alternatively they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with experience in a similar product range such as Forgings, Castings, Components, Machined Parts, Plastics or Engineered Parts.

The company sells into a variety of different markets and sectors such as the Defence, Motorsport, Telecoms, General Engineering, Marine, and Heat Exchanger marketplace, so experience of working in or selling to these sectors would be advantageous.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be measured on activity (visits, calls etc), new customers won, the overall financial figures you achieve and your overall contribution to the business.

The client is looking to recruit candidates who are patient, have strong attention to detail, who can bring a consultative approach and is driven to find new business and new clients. They need someone who is self-motivated, self-starting, has a good technical sales ability and is someone who can open new markets and ultimately, it is very much a hunter role.
