POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Planner 2 should be able to react to the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in ERP
system, execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Statistical Inventory Control (SIC) planning,
including communicating, recommending, updating ERP as needed, insuring and expediting both internal
and external suppliers.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Analyzes, plans, releases, controls, reschedules, and cancels materials and components that
support production orders based on requirements in ERP via MRP.
* Selects the appropriate mode of transportation to meet requirements while keeping transportation
costs to a minimum.
* Analyzes requirements for assigned suppliers/resources & production lines, makes decisions
regarding Supply Chain strategies that maximize material effectivity while maintaining the
expected level of customer service satisfaction and not exceeding the target set for inventory
value of components and finished goods
* Maintains adequate stock levels to meet production and spare parts demands while keeping
inventory levels at desired targets consistent with ABC123 analysis ensuring that excess and
obsolete inventory levels are kept to a minimum.
* Oversees, analyzes, and makes procurement recommendations regarding purchase orders
and/or strategies, based on requests received from customer (internal and external) and trends.
* Contacts suppliers and/or work centers regarding material problems within assigned planning
codes that are either the result of demand fluctuations, delayed receipt, quality issues, etc.
* Maintains master data within ERP such as lead times, lot sizes, planning strategies, reorder
points, firm - and trade off zones, and so on.
* Maintains records and documentation related to past activities, order specs, supplier specs and
performance histories and provides to management as needed.
* Implements engineering changes.
* Reviews planning documents such as Planned Releases, Shortage Report, Line Leader updates,
Article Inspection Reports, Engineering Change Reports, Material Discrepancy Reports, and
other planning reports for correct data elements, verifies data requirements, and calculates
requirements into the appropriate existing data management system.
* Coordinates with Accounting department and Sourcing Buyers to resolve quantity discrepancies.
* Liaising with customers, suppliers, and operations.
* Works cross functionally to rectify defective or unacceptable goods and subsequent plans for
future.
* Participates in meetings, conferences, seminars, training, and other technical programs to
remains current in material/procurement management policies, procedures, and technological
developments in the industry as related to assigned function.
* Responsible for participating in lean process improvements and problem-solving activities.
* All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required, Field of Study: Business,
Supply Chain Management or Logistics


EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years in a manufacturing work environment, analyzing and recommending material replenishment, or
equivalent years of formal education: Required
COMPUTER SKILLS:
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Required
* Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning): Required
* Experience with SAP: Strongly Preferred


CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES:
* APICS Preferred
* Certified Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
* Supply Management (CPSM) certification or Certified Production and Inventory Management
(CPIM) Preferred
* Lean Six Sigma White Belt: Preferred
