Currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Glazing Superintendent to oversee projects in these thriving markets.
Position Overview: As a Glazing Superintendent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of mostly commercial glazing projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-site operations, managing project timelines, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in glazing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities related to glazing projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Oversee the installation of glass, windows, curtainwalls, storefronts, and other glazing systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and address any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Train, mentor, and manage on-site glazing crews, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Manage materials, equipment, and resources efficiently to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
- Address any project-related challenges or conflicts promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the glazing industry.
- Proven expertise in both commercial and residential glazing projects.
- Strong knowledge of glazing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel between project sites in Atlanta, GA, and Tampa, FL as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
