Senior R&D Manager

Are you a Senior R&D Manager, fluent in French and English, who is looking for their next move within mining and metals in Morocco?

Can you bring 7+ year's experience with you to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of researchers and engineers to achieve research objectives.

I am assisting my client to find the best person for their team - they are international mining group with a presence across multiple countries throughout Africa and are actively expanding their portfolio of exploration sites and metals. They are currently present in Copper, Cobalt, Zinc, and precious metals, and their next exciting step is developing into energy transition metals.

The successful candidate will be an expert in metallurgy or materials chemistry and will join the company at their exciting and ever-evolving site based in Morocco.

Summary:

• Significant professional experience in the mining and metals industry, with a solid understanding of mineral extraction, processing and refining processes.
• Extensive understanding of sustainable and responsible mining practices such as resource management and environmental footprint reduction.
• In-depth understanding of critical metals such as but not limited to Lithium, Cobalt and Nickel.
• Proven experience in design, management and execution of R&D projects improving mining processes, developing new metal extraction or recycling technologies.

Requirements:

• Advanced university degree / PH.D. in Metallurgy or Materials Chemistry
• Strong management and leadership skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in French (non- negotiable)
