We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support engineering and construction teams with cost and schedule analysis, reporting, and general project controls assistance. This role involves tracking progress, assessing project risks, and identifying potential cost or schedule impacts, while ensuring projects stay aligned with established goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and track progress measurement processes for various project scopes.

  • Review contractor schedules and project documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with the master schedule.

  • Assist in managing project change notices and maintaining change logs.

  • Compile and present project reports, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates.

  • Identify and document scope changes and material variances from design documents.

  • Collaborate with project teams to track and review engineering submittals and ensure timely reviews.

  • Assess the cost and schedule impacts of design or construction changes.

  • Analyze and propose solutions for project control issues.

  • Estimate project material and labor costs to validate estimates and scope changes.

  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout project stages.

  • Review contractor invoices and time logs to ensure proper resource utilization.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High School diploma or GED with 7 years of experience in engineering, construction, project controls, or a related field, OR

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in Project Controls.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to multi-task in a high-paced project environment.

  • Understanding of cost control, project estimating, and forecasting.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), P6, and EcoSys.

  • Project development experience.

Work Environment & Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based work, but occasional fieldwork in mine or manufacturing plant environments, which may involve exposure to various environmental factors and safety hazards.

  • Personal protective equipment required for fieldwork.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $82,000-$113,000 (based on experience).

  • Eligible for additional performance-based incentives.
