Principal Consultant - Global Mining
Michal, based in our Perth office, leads the recruitment of technical and support disciplines within the mining and metals industry. With a focus on supporting senior level candidates, his remit includes maintenance & engineering, covering mechanical, electrical and instrumentation areas.
Michal began his recruitment career in 2005. Prior to joining CSG, he worked for two mining recruiters in the UK where he developed his deep understanding of the global mining market. He speaks English, Polish and Russian and his fascination with different cultures, as well as his heavy exposure to relocation recruitment projects, inspired him to move to Australia.
Michal partners with a range of clients to develop their talent strategies through hiring exceptional candidates for business-critical roles. These include clients with new mining projects under construction, and closed mining operations. He works in partnership with clients to not only find the right talent, but also to help define their long-term talent strategies through a series of additional service offerings. Michal is experienced in working on challenging projects and passionate about solving difficult problems. These include finding talent for roles in very remote parts of the world, with often difficult climates.
Michal’s track record is impressive, covering successful senior level permanent placements for roles including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, commissioning engineers, procurement leads and maintenance management. His diligence, strong stakeholder skills and affability have allowed him to cultivate an extensive global network of technical talent, which is often relied on for referrals.
Michal is passionate about working collaboratively with clients on mining assignments, which have included filling business-critical roles, sometimes in high numbers, for large scale projects.
