Are you a Senior Manager, fluent in French and English, who is looking for their next move within energy transition materials in Morocco?

Can you bring 7+ year's experience with you to lead and manage industrial processes, and develop and implement strategies to optimise manufacturing processes?

I am assisting my client to find thew best person for their team - they are international mining group with a presence across multiple countries throughout Africa, and are actively expanding their portfolio of exploration sites and metals. They currently present in Copper, Cobalt, Zinc, and precious metals, and their next exciting step is developing into energy transition metals.

The successful candidate with be an expert in the energy transition field, and join them on and with their exciting and ever-evolving site based in Morocco.

You will be a highly skilled process manager within the battery metals field to lead cross-functional teams across all industrial processes. As a Senior Manager, you will be a key player in the long-term decision-making regarding process improvements and investments, with a progression route through to higher-level management positions within the wider company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage industrial processes related to energy transition materials, such as battery metals or other materials essential to the transition.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes for energy transition materials, focusing on efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, and engineering to drive innovation and ensure alignment with corporate objectives and industry standards.
  • Oversee the scale-up of production processes for energy transition materials, from pilot to commercial scale.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement, quality enhancement, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to the manufacture of materials for the energy transition.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in industrial processes, with a focus on battery materials or a related field.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, material science, chemical engineering, or related field. A focus on sustainability would be beneficial.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a production environment
  • Fluent in English and French essential - please note this is none negotiable.
