Senior Discipline Engineer I&C

My client and I are seeking a talented individual to work as part of a team, and become their Senior Discipline Engineer, a newly created role.

Working on the owner representative managing the EPC relationships and play a key role in ensuring appropriate design and construction standards are maintained across this state-of-art project.

The project is looking to incorporate a host of "industry firsts" and looking to push, automation, innovation and technology use on a large scale, $multibillion mining project.

Duties include

* Contribute to the development, planning, monitoring and challenge of the works programmers.

* Challenge, support and assist contractors to ensure that they are successful in delivering their scopes of work.

* Review engineering, procurement, construction planning, access, and logistics for assigned projects to support construction in alignment with target dates.

* Participate in design reviews to validate compliance against agreed technical standards.

* Support engineering design delivery needs to reach objectives in an effective and efficient manner.

*Review and comment on criteria specified in contracts if practical achievable during construction.

*Ensure that specified/selected equipment comply with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards, as well as safety and quality requirements.

*Provide updates to the Lead Design Engineer and Design Engineering Manager regarding compliance to project technical compliance.

*Immediately rectify or stop any unsafe work or operations.

*Intervene when personnel are failing to discharge their health and safety responsibilities and encourage good behaviour and practice.

The role will be Brisbane or Perth based, so applications welcome from candidates already living in Australia please and successful party will come with experience in COMOS (none negotiable) and underground mining operations.
