U.S. Based - Remote with Travel
A leading global Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) is expanding its commercial team and seeking a Senior Account Manager with a blend of scientific understanding, commercial acumen, and relationship-building finesse. This organization is known for its innovative solutions across drug substance, particle engineering, drug product, and integrated development services-supporting pharma and biotech partners from early development through commercial supply.
This is a high-impact position designed for someone who thrives in a science-driven, client-centric CDMO environment and enjoys both hunting new opportunities and growing strategic accounts.
Own and grow a portfolio of key pharma and biotech clients.
Develop tailored Account Plans and Growth Plans aligned to customer needs and development pipelines.
Increase account penetration by identifying opportunities across drug substance, drug product, and advanced technologies.
Identify, qualify, and close new development and manufacturing opportunities.
Prepare and support technical and commercial proposals aligned to internal capability and capacity.
Represent the organization at major trade shows, scientific conferences, and client meetings.
Collaborate with internal functions-R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Project Management-to deliver a seamless client experience.
Support complex contract negotiations including MSAs, development agreements, commercial supply agreements, and quality agreements.
Ensure accurate forecasting and CRM data management for reporting and pipeline visibility.
Monitor competitive activity, customer dynamics, and broader CDMO market trends.
Bring insights to internal stakeholders that influence strategy and long-term capability planning.
5+ years of experience in CDMO business development, commercial roles, or account management (drug substance, drug product, or integrated services).
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical development, scale-up, technical transfer, and cGMP manufacturing.
Comfort engaging in scientific and technical discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in expanding key accounts and achieving commercial targets.
Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to prepare bids, proposals, and customer-facing documentation.
Willingness to travel across North America with occasional global travel.
