Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Director to join our team and spearhead sales pursuits in collaboration with the Managing Director. This role involves managing sales activity, coordinating pursuit lists and pipelines, and fostering connections within the local market. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales activity, pursuit lists, pipelines, and follow-up reporting.
  • Coordinate with Managing Directors to align focus with specific opportunities in the local market.
  • Assist brokers in identifying potential clients and converting cold calls into warm opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Managing Directors and marketing team on multiple service line pursuits.
  • Prepare and present reports on deal activity at local management meetings and as needed.
  • Develop and implement targeted vertical pursuit strategies.
  • Lead recruitment, selection, development, and performance management of Associates.
  • Provide support to the sales team in researching information needs within a complex work environment.
  • Maintain external relationships with industry associations, vendors, and community leaders.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage a major functional area or department, responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports.
  • Lead recruitment, training, development, and performance management of staff.
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate and report on utilization of human resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience managing a sales force in a service organization.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret complex business documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.

Financial Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms, principles, and budgeting.
  • Ability to conduct financial/business analysis and prepare reports.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Expert level analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make strategic recommendations.

Scope of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for achieving complex results and setting project deadlines.
  • Decisions made have a significant impact on the line of business and overall company.

Compensation:

The minimum salary for the Sales Director position is $143,500 annually, and the maximum salary is $225,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, successful candidates will be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
