Regional Sales Manager needed in the USA - Midwest

We are working with a global, $multimillion client who are technology innovators, custom manufacturers, and electrical systems troubleshooters for heavy industry. They design, engineer, produce, and service industrial power systems and control systems, specialising in electric rotating machinery for high-demand applications across mining, mills, and heavy industry. Due to growth, they are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to be based in Evansville, Indiana.

This Regional Sales Manager role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and be responsible for developing and leading a sales team within the region. This position comes with a great commission structure to help everyone achieve success!

This Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Effectively leading and managing a regional sales team.
  • Developing & implementing sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • Coaching and mentoring the regional sales team.
  • Analyzing market trends & competitors in the region.
  • Conducting & participating in regular sales meetings with regional and national sales teams
  • Conducting 1 on 1 weekly meetings with direct reporting account reps, providing performance feedback on metrics and behaviors.
  • Leading and facilitating customer issue resolution as appropriate internally and externally.
  • Conducting Sales GAP analyses and communicating upward and across the organization.
  • Managing teams strategic use of time via Sales Planning / Next Steps
  • Supporting proper documentation across team for Sales CARs (sales planning), JARs (Joint Action Registers), Call Reports, Bookings Waterfall Charts, etc.
  • Developing & managing a portfolio of key accounts.
  • Collaborating with sales & business development teams.
  • Review & negotiate contracts within the sales process
  • Manage expectations internally and externally to deliver the most successful results.

Experience required:

  • Previous success within a sales role in the heavy industrial or mining industry.
  • Previous sales management experience using a CRM.
  • Training and development experience of a sales team.
  • Success in implementing change to sales processes and team culture.
