Project Director PV / BESS

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Director to oversee the delivery of a landmark hybrid renewable power project (PV, wind, and storage) in Mauritania.

In this pivotal role, you will take full responsibility for supervising all project phases - from EPC contractor management and execution studies through to commissioning, acceptance, and transfer to operations. Acting as the key technical interface, you will ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading coordination between EPC, Owner's Engineer, project stakeholders, and client.

• Monitoring schedule, budget, HSE, and contractual compliance.

• Overseeing commissioning, acceptance, and warranty phases.

• Supporting transfer to O&M teams and building long-term operational capacity.

What we're looking for:

• Degree-qualified in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

• 12+ years' experience in the power sector, ideally with renewables (PV, wind, BESS) and EPC project delivery.

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent in English (French desirable).
