Mine Manager

Are you an underground mine manager based in the USA?

My client and I, a USA based company, are seeking a Mine Manager, to start at their underground operation in the USA.

We are looking for someone with underground experience - please note this is none negotiable - who is ready for their next step in their career at this site with an annual production of 700k tons of sodium carbonate!

The successful candidate will lead and manage the mine and crushing operations, to meet customer requirements and to support the business strategies, operating initiative and financial objectives.

Ensuring all HSE polices are aligned with, as well as Government regulations, and responsibilities for ensuring all compliance activities are conducted.

Change recommendation in respect to equipment, schedules, and training will be part of this role, we need someone well versed in making sure the site runs as efficently as possible.

Working alongside the plant and packaging manager, as well as mine engineers and geologists, to balance mine production, develop long term plans and maintain a good working relationship will all internal and external parties, is a huge and important factor of this role.

Proficiency with software programs, including mine design, CAD beneficial and IT systems is another must, as these in turn enable the success needed.

The candidate will come with a Bachelors degree in mining engineering or geology or other related and a minimum of 10 - 12 years experience - this is to ensure thorough knowledge of mine planning, mining and processing equipment and methods.

5 years experience in a managerial role with success and desire to continue managing is ideal along with knowledge of surveying, project management, explosives and mine processing equipment.

Possessing a blasting license or being eligible to obtain one is another important factor for this one.
