The Opportunity:

A newly created executive leadership role with a well-funded and fast-developing gold project in the western United States, focused on transitioning from feasibility to full-scale production. This is a key appointment for a high-caliber Metallurgical leader to establish and lead the function from the ground up.

Responsible for integrating metallurgical strategy, overseeing process development, and ensuring the delivery of a world-class processing operation.

An opportunity to drive the metallurgical and processing strategy. This includes oversight of final feasibility test work, process plant design, and operational readiness - playing a key role in the company's transition from developer to producer.

Key Focus:

  • Provide technical leadership in metallurgical test work, optimization, and processing design for oxide gold ores.

  • Oversee final feasibility metallurgical and engineering studies in collaboration with leading external consultants.

  • Take full ownership of the design and configuration of the processing facility and leach pad, ensuring scalability, operational efficiency, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

  • Develop and implement the metallurgical and processing framework for the project's transition into operations.

  • Build the internal metallurgical and processing team from the ground up to support production and long-term growth.

  • Act as the technical authority in metallurgical performance, process design, and recovery optimization.

  • Manage budget, schedule, and scope for all metallurgy-related project elements from development through commissioning.

  • Collaborate closely with operations, geology, and project teams to ensure a seamless transition to production.

Core Competencies:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in gold processing

  • Degree qualified in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related field.

  • Proven track record in project development, ideally including transition from study phase through to operational readiness.

  • Deep technical knowledge of gold processing, process engineering, and metallurgical testing methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors, labs, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence executive decisions and drive operational outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
