Financial Controller - hybrid
CSG is partnering with a large global Mining & Recycling machinery manufacturing organisation. They are in the process of expanding their Cologne-based team thanks to an influx of new work. This opportunity is situated within the Controlling team and is mainly focused on controlling and internally revising/auditing the international subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Support in investment controlling for our subsidiaries and for newly established companies
- Collaboration in the further development of the audit concept with a focus on continuous improvement and exchange of best practice
- Preparation, implementation and evaluation of audits
- Optimization of controlling tools, including setting up data structures and expanding existing reports in Jedox and Power BI
- Creating budgets and forecasts, as well as assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Analyzing deviations and deriving alternative courses of action
Requirements
- Completed studies in business administration, finance, controlling or a similar field
- Additional qualifications such as further training in controlling or certification as a controller can be an advantage
- Relevant professional experience in controlling, ideally in international mechanical engineering or a similar industry
- Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting and financial analysis
- Experience with internal auditing is an advantage
- Ability to analyze complex data and derive strategic recommendations from it
- Enjoy varied tasks and a wide range of topics
- Motivation to optimize processes and change / shape things
- Business fluent in German and English
- Independent, analytical and meticulous way of working
- High level of communication and teamwork skills
- High IT affinity, database knowledge an advantage
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Car driver's license
