Financial Controller - hybrid

CSG is partnering with a large global Mining & Recycling machinery manufacturing organisation. They are in the process of expanding their Cologne-based team thanks to an influx of new work. This opportunity is situated within the Controlling team and is mainly focused on controlling and internally revising/auditing the international subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Support in investment controlling for our subsidiaries and for newly established companies
• Collaboration in the further development of the audit concept with a focus on continuous improvement and exchange of best practice
• Preparation, implementation and evaluation of audits
• Optimization of controlling tools, including setting up data structures and expanding existing reports in Jedox and Power BI
• Creating budgets and forecasts, as well as assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Analyzing deviations and deriving alternative courses of action

Requirements

• Completed studies in business administration, finance, controlling or a similar field
• Additional qualifications such as further training in controlling or certification as a controller can be an advantage
• Relevant professional experience in controlling, ideally in international mechanical engineering or a similar industry
• Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting and financial analysis
• Experience with internal auditing is an advantage
• Ability to analyze complex data and derive strategic recommendations from it
• Enjoy varied tasks and a wide range of topics
• Motivation to optimize processes and change / shape things
• Business fluent in German and English
• Independent, analytical and meticulous way of working
• High level of communication and teamwork skills
• High IT affinity, database knowledge an advantage
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Car driver's license
• Conscientious, independent work, high sense of responsibility, structured and team-oriented way of working
