A newly created site-based opportunity for an experienced Environmental & Permitting professional to join a leading North American mining development project as it transitions from feasibility to full-scale production. This role offers the chance to make a tangible environmental impact as the site transitions towards the construction phase.
Working alongside the Director of Environment & Permitting, you will be deeply involved in field-based environmental monitoring, inspections, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about environmental protection, permitting execution, and building meaningful relationships with local communities and regulatory bodies.

Salary: Up to $135k Base + Bonus + Benefits
Provide direct support in executing the permitting roadmap, assisting with regulatory submissions, agency communications, and environmental documentation.
Conduct frequent site visits to establish and maintain environmental monitoring programs, baseline data collection, and compliance inspections.
Act as a liaison with state and federal regulatory agencies.
Participate in public and stakeholder engagement activities, representing the environmental function.
Assist in the preparation of technical reports
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including geology, metallurgy, operations, and external consultants.
Build positive relationships with local communities and interest groups.
5-10 years of experience in environmental permitting, compliance, or environmental fieldwork within the mining or resource sector (or similar field would be considered)
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, or related field.
Demonstrated experience with environmental permitting and regulatory agencies
Field experience with environmental monitoring programs - including air, water, soil, biodiversity, or cultural heritage.
Strong understanding of regulatory processes, environmental documentation, and agency engagement.
Capable of interacting with regulators, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Highly organized, self-directed, and adaptable to a dynamic project environment.
