A global equipment manufacturing leader with a strong engineering and innovation focus is seeking a Mining Trucks R&D Director to lead next-generation large-tonnage mining truck development within a core business division to be based out of the USA.

Key Responsibilities

• Defining and leading R&D strategy and technical roadmap for large-tonnage mining trucks (300t+).
• Owning end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept to mass production.
• Driving core technology development, product iteration, and technical breakthroughs.
• Building, leading, and developing a high-performing global R&D team.
• Tracking industry trends (e.g. autonomous driving, industrial internet, lightweight materials).
• Managing R&D budgets, resources, IP strategy, and external technical collaborations.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Vehicle, Automation, or related engineering fields (Master's preferred).
• 10+ years' R&D experience in construction or mining machinery.
• 5+ years in senior R&D or technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading development and mass production of large mining trucks (300t+).
• Strong expertise in structures, hydraulics, powertrain, and electronic control systems.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-cultural communication skills.
