As Director of Operations, you'll be a key part of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all operational functions-including production, supply chain, logistics, quality assurance, and facilities. You'll lead the design and implementation of scalable systems to support expansion while ensuring excellence in product delivery, efficiency, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's growth targets
  • Oversee production, warehousing, and distribution to ensure efficiency and scalability
  • Lead improvements in manufacturing processes, supply chain systems, and inventory controls
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, etc.)
  • Build and mentor high-performing teams across operations and logistics
  • Work closely with senior leadership on investment planning and capacity expansion
  • Manage budgets, track key KPIs, and deliver regular performance reports

About you

  • Proven experience in an operational leadership role within the food manufacturing industry
  • Strong background in supply chain, production, and quality assurance
  • Deep understanding of food safety standards and certifications (e.g. BRCGS, GMP, HACCP)
  • Experience working in a growth-stage or scale-up business (international exposure a plus)
  • Skilled in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and ERP systems
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication abilities
  • Passion for sustainability, ethical sourcing, and making a meaningful impact
