Position Overview

This role oversees maintenance operations across multiple sites including the integration and strategic direction of maintenance activities. The individual will collaborate closely with site leadership teams to standardize maintenance processes, establish performance metrics, and ensure accountability across various teams. The position is key in promoting best practices, optimizing resource sharing, and implementing effective maintenance strategies across sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive strategic maintenance planning to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and operational success.

  • Focus on improving the execution of maintenance tasks by providing coaching, resource coordination, and ensuring job preparation and follow-up.

  • Standardize maintenance activities across multiple sites, including work order systems, KPIs, cost controls, forecasting, and maintenance tools such as CMMS, RCM, and data analytics platforms.

  • Support lifecycle programs and maintenance initiatives, ensuring high levels of job preparation and successful execution across teams.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to site maintenance leadership in all operational areas, fostering consistency and quality in job execution.

  • Collaborate with training departments to ensure the ongoing development and delivery of effective training programs for maintenance personnel.

  • Handle additional responsibilities as required to meet the evolving needs of the organization.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or related field) with a minimum of 10 years' experience in maintenance management within industrial or mining operations, including both mobile and fixed equipment.

  • Strong background in maintenance management, including experience with maintenance modules in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and CMMS programs.

  • Solid understanding and experience with high-voltage electrical systems, including drives, converters, and motor maintenance.

  • Proven expertise in root cause failure analysis and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).

  • Experience managing diverse teams and complex maintenance operations, demonstrating effective leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong understanding of financial management, cost controls, and project management in a maintenance environment.

  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and practices, including OSHA/MSHA standards.
