Chief Geotechnical Engineer

I am working with one of the top 10 Copper producers in the world, looking to expand their operations within Africa.

Starting with this role, the new Chief Geotechnical Engineer will oversee a high volume Copper mine and a large established team of nationals and expats.

This is a new role that joins an established operation, although expectations to strategize and influence personnel planning is expected.

The role can be residential or FIFO, and they have some of the best faciliities in the world on site - a 'soft FIFO' if you will!

Requirements:

• Leadership Qualities - you need to have led and developed teams, particularly upskilling local talent
• Open pit/cut experience
• High Volume Operations expertise
• Experience working in African Mines preferred
• Copper mining experience preferred
• Geotechnical or related degree essential
• Ideally further Geotech certifications
