They operate through three distinct divisions spanning five sectors and offer a diverse portfolio of 28 engineering solution brands. This particular role focuses on their world-leading division, specializing in valves, controls, and actuation products tailored for the oil and gas industry.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Finance Director of APAC, this position plays a critical role in supervising the company's financial management and reporting functions and serves as the sole point of contact for all finance matters in Australia. It entails responsibilities such as forecasting and budget planning, while also providing valuable insights and financial guidance to the executive management team. A hybrid work environment is available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support overall finance, including closing, reporting, treasury, and finance-related projects.
  • Own internal financial closing & management reporting.
  • Manage monthly actual IFS system closing.
  • Provide monthly actual reporting in Cognos & info for OPR reporting.
  • Manage audit and tax requirements for local external statutory and corporate internal audits.
  • Perform Internal Control Declaration (ICD) assessment and reporting.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and communicate changes to Finance Director.
  • Perform yearly internal transfer pricing (TP) review and documentation.
  • Administer customer credit control process and credit analysis.
  • Lead IFS (ERP) testing, implementation.
  • Ensure effective cash management through analysis, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Manage and monitor cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor key business performance measurements and establish tracking systems.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Hold a graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in auditing and commercial accounting, with a focus on financial supervision. Australian corporate tax regulation and audit handling experience is well received.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Australian IFRS requirements.
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have experience with ERP systems (preferably IFS), reporting and consolidation tools (COGNOS), Blackline, and advanced Excel skills.
