Overview We are currently working with a well-established, employee-owned environmental consulting firm seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join their growing team. This is a mid-to-senior level opportunity offering a combination of technical delivery, project leadership, and client engagement across a diverse range of civil and environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage water resources projects from planning through to completion
Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modelling using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D)
Deliver work across flood studies, stormwater management, and drainage infrastructure projects
Review technical reports, models, and designs for accuracy and regulatory compliance
Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
Present technical findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with regulatory agencies
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited)
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
10+ years' experience in water resources, hydrology, or hydraulics engineering
Strong proficiency with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D)
Experience in stormwater management, floodplain analysis, or civil infrastructure projects
Consulting experience and client-facing exposure preferred
