Warehouse Manager - Food Manufacturing

I'm partnering with a large, well-established food manufacturing business to appoint an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a high-volume, multi-shift facility.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role overseeing end-to-end warehouse operations, with full accountability for people, performance, safety, and cost control.

The role

You'll take ownership of daily warehouse operations, ensuring service levels, productivity, and quality targets are consistently achieved. Leading through a team of supervisors, you'll manage a sizeable workforce while driving continuous improvement across receiving, storage, inventory control, and outbound operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading day-to-day warehouse operations across multiple shifts and temperature zones

• Managing and developing a large, diverse team through frontline leaders

• Analysing operational data to optimise labour, throughput, and service levels

• Driving improvements in safety, compliance, sanitation, and inventory accuracy

• Owning departmental budgets and controlling operational costs

• Overseeing material handling equipment strategy, maintenance, and utilisation

• Partnering with senior leadership on projects and performance reporting

What we're looking for

• Proven warehouse leadership experience within a high-volume food/beverage distribution or manufacturing environment

• Strong background in inventory control, shipping/receiving, and operational planning

• Experience leading large teams (50+ employees) in a continuous operation

• Solid understanding of safety, food or regulated product handling, and compliance standards

• Commercially minded with budget ownership and cost-reduction experience

• Confident communicator who can influence across functions

Ideal background

• Degree-qualified or equivalent operational experience

• 7+ years in warehouse or logistics operations, including several years in management

• Comfortable working with warehouse management systems and data-driven KPIs

• Multiple years experience within food/beverage manufacturing settings.
