VP of R&D - Baked Goods

CSG Talent are partnered with a Private Equity backed baked goods business who are hiring a new Vice President of Research & Development to play a key role in strategic growth & product development plans.

The role is based in the South-West region with relocation required by candidates for the opportunity. You will be crucial to the company achieving objectives relating to growth and product development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy on creation, recipe design, and production process for new baked goods, making sure each product aligns with company expectations for flavor, quality, and performance & strategic development goals.
• Leadership of team of 15 R&D professionals.
• Coordinate closely with teams in Marketing, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and other relevant departments to ensure new product efforts are well supported and aligned.
• Utilise product development expertise to work closely with the SLT, working towards strategic goals regarding company and product portfolio positioning in the market.

Requirements:

• Proven track record relating to delivering new product innovations within the baked goods industry whilst operating at a senior level (director/VP)
• Strong team leadership experience with large teams of R&D talent.
• Ability to relocate to the South-West.
