CSG Talent are currently working alongside a US-based critical minerals mining company to appoint a Vice President of Exploration.

This role will lead the technical strategy behind a flagship domestic asset at a pivotal stage of its development alongside a clear identify new opportunities for growth through M&A or JV. This role sits with responsibility over a producing mining asset, another in rapid development and a push for additional projects through a variety of avenues. It will be located in New York state at a newly established US corporate office.

The board is looking for a senior exploration leader who will shape exploration and asset strategy, develop the team, influence capital allocation and outward investment and directly impact how the business is valued by the market. This role works as a key technical advisory position to the board, particularly in the area of third party DD as a part of the growth mandate.

What they're looking for

  • Senior mining exploration leadership experience across hard-rock commodities (critical minerals, base metals, precious metals or adjacent)

  • Proven ability to move assets through value-adding exploration stages and 3rd party due diligence and recommendations.

  • Comfort operating at board and capital-markets level

  • Experience building and leading multidisciplinary exploration teams

  • US work authorisation required (or clear pathway)
