We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Vice President of Operations to lead and oversee all operational aspects of our poultry business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, optimizing supply chain logistics, and delivering consistent product quality. This executive role will play a key part in shaping and executing long-term operational strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
Lead, develop, and manage all aspects of poultry operations, including hatchery, grow-out farms, processing, packaging, distribution, and maintenance.
Oversee production planning, performance metrics, and quality assurance to meet demand while maintaining product integrity and safety.
Ensure strict compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory bodies for animal welfare, food safety, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with company-wide strategic goals and financial objectives.
Develop and implement best-in-class practices in biosecurity, animal health, labor productivity, and waste reduction.
Manage operational budgets, cost control initiatives, and capital expenditure planning.
Lead cross-functional teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
Partner with HR to maintain workforce efficiency, support employee development, and address labor challenges.
Oversee vendor and supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and continuity of supply.
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to keep the company at the forefront of operational excellence.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Animal Science, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field (MBA or relevant master's degree preferred).
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in poultry or protein production operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of poultry processing, live production, supply chain management, and food safety systems.
Proven track record of driving operational improvements and cost efficiencies at scale.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to navigate complex challenges in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Strong commitment to ethical practices, sustainability, and animal welfare.
