The Vice President of Operations is a senior executive responsible for leading global operations across procurement, supply chain, outsourced manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and parts quality within an engineered-to-order industrial equipment environment.

This person will be responsible for driving operational discipline, improving supplier and third-party manufacturing performance, and supporting scalable growth. The position works closely with Engineering, Sales, Project Management, and Service to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, and consistent product quality across complex, project-driven equipment programs.

A key aspect of the role is overseeing and optimising a global network of external fabricators and suppliers, as well as evaluating opportunities for selective vertical integration to reduce cost and supply-chain risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the global operations strategy aligned with business growth and profitability objectives

  • Lead procurement, supplier performance management, and supply-chain risk mitigation across a global vendor base

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics (domestic and international)

  • Drive continuous improvement, KPI discipline, and operational performance reporting

  • Ensure parts quality, root-cause analysis, and effective resolution of field and customer issues

  • Build, lead, and develop the operations leadership team

  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership on strategy, capital planning, and major operational initiatives

Background & Experience

  • Senior operations leadership experience within engineered-to-order, industrial, or capital equipment manufacturing environments

  • Strong exposure to outsourced manufacturing and third-party fabrication models

  • Experience managing complex, global supply chains and supplier networks

  • Proven ability to lead in matrix organisations and drive change through influence

  • Track record of improving operational efficiency, supplier performance, and cost structure

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
