Underground Mining engineer - EXPAT

This is a Globally significant copper operation entering its next major development phase - a world-class panel cave with a multi-billion-dollar investment and mine life extending beyond 2040.

We're hiring a Technical Expert to lead field engineering activities across ground support, monitoring and QA/QC. This is an operationally focused role, working within a high-performing, diverse team.

Key Focus Areas

• Design, implement and verify ground control systems in active mining areas

• Operate within wet rockmass and seismically active environments

• Support daily geotechnical operations with strong field presence

• Guide and mentor junior engineers and QA/QC personnel

• Collaborate on predictive modelling and ground monitoring strategies

Ideal Profile

• 7-10 years of underground geotechnical experience (block cave preferred)

• Experience working overseas or with international teams

• Consistent employment history - ideally 4+ years with each employer

• Deep experience in ground support and monitoring systems

• Strong communicator, team player, and confident working on site daily

• Degree qualified in mining, geological or geotechnical engineering

• Fluent in English and open to relocating to Papua
