Location: Ontario
Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off (days and nights)
Travel: FIFO or DIDO

A leading international mining services provider is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Superintendent to lead day-to-day operations at a major project in Ontario. This leadership role is critical in driving safe, efficient, and productive execution of development, production, and services activities.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will:

  • Provide operational leadership across all underground mining activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and performance targets.

  • Collaborate with technical, maintenance, and HSE teams to align operational priorities and optimize resources.

  • Lead and mentor Forepersons, Supervisors, and crews to maintain high standards of safety, accountability, and performance.

  • Monitor production plans, equipment utilization, and shift reports to ensure targets are achieved.

  • Build effective relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders.

  • Promote continuous improvement, workforce engagement, and operational excellence.

About You

You bring a strong technical and operational background in underground hard rock mining, ideally within a contractor or owner-operator environment. You will have:

  • A minimum of 10 years' underground mining experience, including 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of mine development, production drilling/blasting, and ground support.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.

  • A valid Ontario Supervisor Underground Common Core certification (mandatory).
