CSG Talent is delighted to be recruiting a dynamic Tailings Manager for our client's operations in Chile. Based in Santiago, this high-visibility role will focus on enhancing tailings governance and ensuring the safe, efficient, and sustainable management of tailings facilities.
Lead strategic and operational tailings initiatives for a prominent mining organization in Chile.
Oversee TSF design, construction, and the development of comprehensive risk and monitoring systems in accordance with both Chilean and international standards.
Collaborate with site teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet rigorous safety and environmental benchmarks.
Manage the design, development, and ongoing stewardship of tailings facilities.
Ensure project alignment with Chilean regulatory frameworks and global best practices.
Coordinate efforts with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and in-house experts during all project stages.
Facilitate quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) in construction and operational phases.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in tailings management practices.
Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Mining Engineering.
10+ years of experience in tailings facility management, ideally within Chile or Latin America.
Strong knowledge of local (e.g., SERNAGEOMIN) and international regulatory standards.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.
Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
