Tailings Manager - Corporate

CSG Talent is proud to partner with a leading mining company in its search for a seasoned Tailings Manager based in Arizona. This is a strategic leadership role suited for a highly qualified geotechnical or civil engineer with extensive experience in tailings design, construction, and operational oversight.

The Role:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of tailings management at our client's key operations.

• Lead TSF design, construction oversight, and performance monitoring while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance aligned with best international practices.

• Collaborate with regulatory bodies, external consultants, and internal teams to manage risk and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day tailings operations and contribute to long-term strategic planning.

• Ensure compliance with U.S. regulations and established industry standards.

• Interface with Engineers of Record (EoRs) and consulting engineers during design, construction, and operational stages.

• Implement risk reduction and dam safety measures, driving continuous improvement across projects.

• Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams involved in tailings management.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering.

• 10+ years of experience in tailings facility design, construction, and management (preferably in the U.S.).

• Familiarity with U.S. regulatory standards and international frameworks.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility in Arizona preferred.

• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

• Spanish as a 2nd language
