Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee all on-site activities for small to medium-sized projects of standard complexity. The ideal candidate will coordinate field operations, ensure quality and safety compliance, and work closely with the Project Manager to achieve successful project outcomes.
Independently manage all field operations and site activities for assigned projects.
Oversee and evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure work meets quality standards and schedule requirements.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate project execution and resolve on-site challenges.
Conduct and manage all project start-up and close-out processes.
Organize, maintain, and update all project documentation and contract records regularly.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the project construction schedule, incorporating input from subcontractors.
Drive project progress to achieve on-time and within-budget completion.
Support the Project Manager in developing and implementing the final project budget.
Lead or co-lead subcontractor meetings, including pre-construction and coordination sessions.
Prepare and distribute administrative documents such as daily reports, short-term schedules, safety and inspection reports, incident and investigation reports, and material delivery records.
Ensure construction activities align with project specifications, layouts, and overall schedule objectives.
Identify and escalate critical on-site issues as needed to appropriate stakeholders.
Implement and enforce all on-site quality control, safety, and emergency procedures in alignment with our client's standards.
Promote and participate in safety programs by maintaining safe work practices, identifying hazards, and supporting health and safety initiatives on-site.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5-7 years of construction experience, ideally with a general contractor.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate on-site teams effectively.
Strong communication and organizational skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in construction management software; experience with platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam is preferred.
Deep understanding of commercial construction methods, industry standards, and LEED certification processes.

Willingness to travel periodically as project needs require.
