Studio Director - Interior Design

We are partnered with an established boutique interior design studio in Austin to appoint a Studio Director - Interior Design to help guide design quality, mentor teams, and manage day to day studio operations.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading people as much as leading projects, within a studio that genuinely values work-life balance, collaboration, and design integrity.

You'll have high level oversight of multiple projects across varied typologies, shape design direction from concept through delivery, and act as a trusted point of contact for clients. The role carries real influence over studio culture, design standards, and team development.

What they're looking for

• 15+ years of interior design experience

• Registered Interior Designer

• Strong all-rounder: concept design, technical delivery, and client leadership

• Experience managing teams, mentoring designers, and reviewing work

• Confident presenting design ideas and managing client expectations

• Strong technical knowledge (codes, building systems, materials, FF&E)

• Proficient in Revit and core design tools

• Comfortable overseeing budgets, schedules, and consultants
