Overview:
This role contributes directly to the development, testing, and certification of a next-generation electric aircraft platform. As part of the Flight Test Instrumentation team, you'll collaborate with various engineering and testing groups to establish and maintain a robust instrumentation framework supporting a cutting-edge aircraft program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot custom instrumentation systems on a unique experimental aircraft to ensure consistent and accurate data capture.

  • Collaborate with instrumentation engineers on sensor selection and data system architecture to support key certification activities.

  • Conduct pre- and post-flight instrumentation checkouts and calibrations, as well as support data processing after test events.

  • Actively contribute to risk mitigation strategies in all assigned tasks.

  • Liaise with internal engineering teams and external partners to integrate expertise and reduce program risk.

  • Partner with product-focused teams to understand and meet their instrumentation support needs.

  • Create and refine tools and procedures that enhance test instrumentation capabilities.

Ideal Background:

  • Hands-on experience with the installation, calibration, and maintenance of data acquisition systems on test aircraft, including a range of sensors such as strain gauges, accelerometers, temperature probes, and velocity sensors.

  • Skilled in the fabrication, termination, and integration of instrumentation wiring harnesses and connectors in aerospace environments.

  • Familiarity with airborne telemetry systems and their practical application in test programs.

  • Proven track record working with complex aircraft systems in a flight test or R&D setting.
