Senior Construction Engineer / Specialist

Type: 12-month contract

CSG are partnered with a Battery Manufacturer supporting the search for a Senior Construction Specialist to lead and manage large-scale construction projects for a Battery manufacturing facility, focusing on industrial buildings and infrastructure. This role involves supervising construction activities, ensuring quality and safety standards, and providing technical guidance to project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering efforts for construction projects and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.

• Supervise construction activities and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.

• Review drawings, technical documents, and project specifications.

• Conduct site inspections and monitor quality control.

• Manage project reporting, schedules, and resources.

• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to avoid delays or cost overruns.

• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering (or equivalent).

• P.Eng. or P.E. preferred.

• 8+ years of experience in construction engineering, preferably on large industrial projects.

• Experience with Design-Build projects and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.

• Proficient in reading drawings, CAD, BIM, and construction management tools.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
