Commercial Specification Sales Consultant

A leading supplier of architectural building products is seeking a driven sales and specification professional to join its growing Victorian team. Focused exclusively on commercial spaces as this role is ideal for someone passionate about the built environment and ready to make an impact.

The Role

You'll own the full sales journey from early specification to final order. This includes presenting to architecture firms, attending project meetings, supporting tender submissions, and working collaboratively with the internal team to close sales.

Typical projects range from $70K-$80K in value, and you'll focus on growing specification rates and securing larger, high-profile work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present to architects and designers to secure product specifications.

  • Participate in project meetings and design consultations to influence early-stage decisions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare quotes, samples, and tender responses.

  • Drive contractor engagement and close orders at the tender stage.

  • Track and manage leads in Salesforce; handle associated admin and project follow-ups.

  • Attend industry events to build visibility and relationships.

What You Bring

  • Background in specification or project sales (ideally within construction, design, or building materials).

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Commercial mindset with the ability to see projects through end-to-end.

  • High level of initiative, organisation, and follow-through.

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
