We're working with an innovative space technology company building autonomous satellite systems for in-space logistics and servicing.

They're currently scaling a critical Phase II defense-funded project and need 1-2 highly skilled engineers with deep technical expertise in algorithm development, sensor fusion, and simulation. This is a hands-on R&D-focused position aimed at developing capabilities that will be delivered to US government stakeholders within two years.

This is a remote-first company with a high-trust culture and strong values around collaboration, low ego, and technical ownership.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop novel and deterministic algorithms for sensor fusion (Kalman, Bayesian, ML).

  • Architect and implement real-time autonomy code in C++.

  • Contribute to system modeling, simulation, and preliminary testing in virtual environments.

  • Collaborate on system integration across sensing, planning, and control.

  • Work within a Git/Linux/CICD environment.

  • Document performance results for internal use and government reporting.

Must-Have Skills:

  • A degree in aerospace, robotics, EE, CS, or similar.

  • Strong C++ development skills.

  • Experience with Kalman filtering / state estimation.

  • Sensor data fusion (IMU, vision, GPS, etc.).

  • Comfort working in Linux, Git, modern CICD workflows.

  • Experience in modeling/simulation environments.
