Underground Operations
We are working with an established underground operator to find a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Rock Mechanic to support ground control, mine sequencing, and geotechnical stability across their underground operations in Ontario. This is a key technical role with direct impact on safety, production, and long-term mine performance.
This role offers sponsorship and relocation package.
What You'll Do
Evaluate mine designs, sequencing, and ground support requirements.
Conduct numerical modelling (Map3D, Phase2) and maintain geotechnical databases.
Assess ground conditions, perform inspections, and oversee instrumentation.
Interpret seismic data and ensure seismic monitoring systems remain operational.
Support ground control policies, training, and continuous improvement efforts.
What You Bring
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering; P.Eng eligibility preferred.
5+ years of underground mining or geotechnical engineering experience.
Strong rock mechanics fundamentals and underground ground control knowledge.
Proficiency with RocScience tools (Dips, Unwedge) and modelling software.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
