Senior Project Manager

CSG Talent is partnering with a growing environmental restoration and ecological infrastructure business seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Program Manager to join its Maryland operations.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious professional to move beyond traditional environmental consulting and take greater ownership of complex, large-scale restoration projects.

The business specialises in developing and delivering environmental restoration solutions, including stream and wetland restoration, stormwater management, flood mitigation, water quality improvements and ecological mitigation.

Unlike traditional consulting positions, this role offers involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and project development through design, permitting, construction and long-term environmental performance.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will have the autonomy to manage projects, influence delivery strategies and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex ecological restoration and water resources projects from concept through construction and completion.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, financial performance and overall delivery.
• Coordinate external engineering consultants, specialist contractors, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
• Oversee feasibility assessments, design development, environmental permitting and construction activities.
• Contribute to project development, including technical proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates and commercial evaluations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulators and delivery partners.
• Identify opportunities for additional work and contribute to business growth.
• Support and mentor junior project managers and technical professionals.

Experience Required

We are interested in speaking with experienced Project Managers, Senior Engineers and environmental professionals with backgrounds in one or more of the following:

• Stream, wetland or ecological restoration
• Stormwater management and green infrastructure
• Watershed restoration and water quality improvements
• Flood mitigation, river engineering or resilience
• Coastal restoration and living shorelines
• Environmental mitigation and habitat restoration

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Approximately 10+ years of relevant environmental, ecological or engineering experience, with substantial project management responsibility.
• A track record of delivering complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
• Strong commercial awareness, including project budgeting, cost management and financial accountability.
• Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory processes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and client relationship skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and an interest in taking on broader responsibility.

Experience in ecological restoration or closely related water resources projects is particularly important. Candidates from environmental consulting and civil engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply where their project experience aligns.
