Senior Process Engineer

CSG are partnered with a breakthrough clean-tech start-up that's pioneering a novel lithium extraction technology in Sydney. With strong backing and commercial pilots underway, our client is continuing to build a technical team to help revolutionise the battery materials supply chain.

We're searching for a Senior Process Engineer to lead process design and optimisation efforts across pilot and commercial-scale lithium extraction projects. This is a rare opportunity to join early and make a real impact on a novel technology poised to play a major role in the energy transition.

You will:

• Contribute to the design, scale-up, and deployment of next-gen lithium processing technology.

• Develop and refine mass/energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and engineering documentation.

• Collaborate closely with R&D, operations, and cross-functional engineering teams.

• Interface with pilot plants and contribute to test work programs (bench/pilot/on-site).

You have:

• 8+ years in hydrometallurgy, chemical process engineering, or lithium/battery material production.

• Strong understanding of crystallisation, fluidised bed reactors, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, or acid/pressure leaching.

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or equivalent.

• Experience moving technologies from lab to plant is a huge plus.
