The Senior Plant Engineer - Corporate will serve as a key technical leader supporting multiple production facilities across the enterprise. This role is responsible for driving engineering excellence, capital project execution, process optimization, and equipment reliability. The position offers a high-impact platform to influence best practices, introduce innovation, and ensure alignment with corporate strategies.
Lead and oversee capital projects across multiple poultry processing facilities, from concept through commissioning.
Provide engineering expertise and support to plant-level engineering and maintenance teams.
Standardize and optimize equipment selection, layout, and processes for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and R&D.
Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency, yield improvement, and waste reduction.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements in all engineering solutions.
Mentor and guide plant engineers, fostering technical capability development across the organization.
Manage relationships with OEMs, engineering firms, and contractors.
Support integration of new technologies including automation, controls, and digital systems.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 8-10 years of engineering experience in the food, poultry, or meat processing industry.
Proven experience leading capital projects and plant improvement initiatives.
Deep understanding of poultry processing equipment, utilities, refrigeration, and automation.
Strong knowledge of USDA, OSHA, and FDA regulations applicable to food processing.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
Willingness to travel (up to 50%) to various production facilities.
Lean Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience working in union and non-union environments.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
