About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Project Manager with experience in critical care environments (ICU, ER, or other acute care settings) to lead high-impact projects in Austin. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of healthcare operations, technology, and clinical excellence. The PM will oversee projects that enhance patient care, streamline critical care workflows, and ensure alignment with hospital and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within critical care (ICU/ER/acute care units).

  • Partner with physicians, nurses, hospital administrators, and IT/facilities teams to align project goals with patient care needs.

  • Manage budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and resources to ensure successful project completion.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for projects impacting sensitive critical care operations.

  • Track and report project progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (CMS, Joint Commission, HIPAA, etc.).

  • Drive process improvements to improve patient throughput, safety, and outcomes in critical care settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

  • 5+ years of project management experience in healthcare, with at least 2 years focused on critical care or acute care operations.

  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.

  • Strong understanding of hospital workflows, healthcare IT systems (EHR/EMR, patient monitoring), or critical care facility projects.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive consensus in high-pressure environments.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
