As Senior Director, Brand Lead, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the U.S. commercial strategy for the first and only FDA-approved ophthalmic biologic therapy for neurotrophic keratitis (NK)-a rare and progressive eye disease. Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing, you'll lead a high-impact team and develop strategic marketing initiatives to increase disease awareness and expand the adoption of this breakthrough therapy across eye care professionals (ECPs).
This is a rare opportunity to influence the growth trajectory of an innovative brand while helping define the future of rare ophthalmic care in the U.S. market.
Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team focused on HCP and patient engagement.
Own the U.S. brand strategy and execution plan, including messaging, positioning, and resource deployment.
Partner with Sales Leadership and Global Marketing to ensure brand alignment and execution excellence.
Oversee branded and unbranded marketing campaigns to increase prescriber base and patient treatment rates.
Collaborate with analytics and insights teams to design market research initiatives that shape strategy.
Guide segmentation and targeting efforts, ensuring messaging is tailored to optometrists, general ophthalmologists, and cornea specialists.
Work cross-functionally to align field marketing, market access, speaker bureau, and digital channels.
Manage agency partners and lead approval of promotional materials through internal review processes.
Build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and coordinate advisory boards and congress presence.
Identify and pilot innovative initiatives for engaging low-decile prescribers and increasing reach.
Champion disease awareness efforts aimed at patient education and activation.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
12+ years of commercial experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medical devices; minimum 5 years in brand marketing.
Proven success in managing and mentoring marketing teams.
Strong background in HCP and/or disease state marketing.
Experience in ophthalmology or rare/orphan diseases highly preferred.
Familiarity with U.S. pharma regulatory review processes (PRC/MLR).
Experience working within cross-functional and global teams.

Competitive base salary ($260,000-$285,000) plus incentive bonus
