The Senior Director - Data Center Projects will lead our mission-critical and data center project portfolio across multiple regions. This individual will be responsible for overseeing project execution, client relationships, financial performance, and strategic growth within the data center sector. Acting as a senior leader within the organization, this role requires a strong background in build-out projects and a deep understanding of the unique demands of the data center market.
Provide executive oversight and leadership for large-scale data center projects nationwide.
Drive project performance, including schedule adherence, budget control, safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring repeat and long-term business opportunities.
Partner with executive leadership to define and execute the company's growth strategy in the mission-critical/data center market.
Mentor, develop, and lead project teams, ensuring succession planning and high-performing talent pipelines.
Oversee preconstruction efforts including estimating, design collaboration, and value engineering.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with internal business units to leverage resources, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional outcomes.
7+ years of progressive experience in large-scale electrical construction, with a proven track record in data center build-out projects.
Experience with mission-critical systems, including power distribution, UPS, backup generation, and cooling integration.
Strong understanding of project delivery methods (design-build, GMP, lump-sum, etc.).
Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, projects, and client relationships at a senior level.
Proven ability to oversee multiple concurrent projects with budgets exceeding $50M+.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Professional certifications (PMP, PE, LEED, etc.) a plus.
