Senior Business Development Leader

A leading global engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Water/Wastewater Market Leader to drive growth across the municipal sector in the Dallas/Fort Worth and West Texas regions. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role focused on developing relationships, winning work, and shaping regional growth strategy.

You will take ownership of key municipal client accounts and lead business development efforts across the region, working closely with established technical and project delivery teams to position the business for continued success. This role is suited to someone who combines strong technical credibility with a proven ability to build relationships and generate new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead client engagement strategies and pursuit planning across the DFW and West Texas markets
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients and key decision-makers
• Drive business development efforts and identify new revenue opportunities
• Lead capture strategies, proposals, and major project pursuits
• Collaborate with Project Managers and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Represent the business across industry organisations, professional societies, and local networks

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in business development within the municipal water/wastewater sector
• Strong network across the Texas public sector, particularly in DFW
• Track record of winning and growing client accounts
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic mindset
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• 12+ years of relevant experience
