The Firm

We're partnering with a highly profitable, design-driven architecture firm just outside of the D.C. Metro area. The Role

This Senior Designer will help lead concept and early-phase design across major multifamily and senior living projects, while collaborating closely with firm leadership. You'll act as the design voice within project teams and help steer both creative direction and delivery strategy.

Experience with urban infill, residential typologies, and design-focused environments is key.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design visioning from concept through schematic and early DD phases

  • Collaborate with project teams to translate design ideas into compelling presentations and deliverables

  • Support design reviews, client meetings, and stakeholder presentations

  • Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to ensure design intent is maintained

  • Mentor junior staff and help elevate design culture within the studio

  • Stay current with materials, products, and design trends relevant to residential and mixed-use development


Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in architectural design, ideally with multifamily, mixed-use, or urban projects

  • Proven ability to drive concept design and contribute at a senior level

  • Strong presentation, communication, and team leadership skills

  • Professional licensure preferred but not required

  • Revit proficiency and familiarity with digital design workflows
