Application Engineer

CSG Talent is supporting a leading water treatment technology company in the search for an Application Engineer. This role is responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, delivering best-in-class application solutions, and managing the bidding process in collaboration with Regional Sales Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical scopes and commercial proposals and deliver complete bid packages for customer review
• Review project/application specifications, equipment requirements, selections, cost estimates, and schedules
• Recommend and support Sales on technical application solutions based on customer requirements and challenges
• Size and select engineered systems and equipment according to specifications and performance requirements
• Review customer Terms & Conditions with the legal team to ensure compliance with company policies
• Create detailed cost analysis for custom engineered equipment and systems
• Generate equipment pricing from cost estimates ensuring proper margins and commissions
• Maintain compliance with approval levels and sign-off procedures
• Maintain and update equipment price lists, including vendor pricing and validity
• Support regulatory and technical issues related to sales or service projects
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations on project plans and specifications
• Prepare handover documentation for awarded projects to Project Management, Engineering, and Operations
• Attend technical customer meetings during the tendering process

Qualifications

• Strong technical and commercial communication skills with management, sales, legal, vendors, and customer engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiar with Salesforce
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment
• Self-motivated and proactive

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Certifications

• EIT or PE is a plus
