Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven and relationship-focused Sales Manager to support business growth across key markets within the food, beverage, and nutraceutical sectors. This role combines new business development, account management, and strategic sales planning, helping customers identify ingredient solutions that support their product innovation and commercial objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new customer relationships, growing existing accounts, and working closely with internal technical and commercial teams to deliver excellent customer support and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across targeted markets
  • Build and manage a structured sales pipeline to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Develop strong relationships with manufacturers, formulators, procurement teams, and brand owners
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events

Account Management

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular engagement and commercial support
  • Understand customer objectives and identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and cross-selling
  • Maintain strong levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting, CRM updates, and pipeline reporting

Commercial & Strategic Support

  • Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements in line with company objectives
  • Monitor market activity, competitor trends, and customer developments
  • Share market intelligence and customer feedback with internal teams to support business strategy
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and ongoing support

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with technical and product teams to support customer requirements and solution development
  • Coordinate internally to ensure timely communication, project follow-up, and customer service excellence
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative commercial culture

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in sales, business development, or account management within food ingredients, nutraceuticals, or a related technical sector preferred
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and grow commercial accounts
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities within a structured sales pipeline
  • Commercial awareness with a customer-focused mindset
