I am working with a leading meat manufacturing company, proudly supplying high-quality products to customers across retail, foodservice, and industrial channels. As we continue to expand our national footprint, we are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales to lead our commercial strategy, grow key accounts, and build a high-performing sales organization.

Role Overview
The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy across all channels. This role will focus on driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new market opportunities. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the meat industry, proven experience managing large accounts, and the ability to lead a sales team toward aggressive growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company revenue and margin objectives.

  • Lead and mentor the sales team, setting clear goals and providing coaching for performance and professional growth.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail, foodservice, and distribution partners.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.

  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, and finance teams to align production capabilities with sales forecasts and market demand.

  • Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and key account management.

  • Track and analyze sales metrics, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to enhance brand visibility and credibility.

  • Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to support proactive business decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience in the meat, poultry, or protein manufacturing industry.

  • Proven track record of driving growth and managing large national or regional accounts.

  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop sales talent.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Deep understanding of the meat supply chain, product lines, and industry dynamics.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience in CRM systems and sales performance analytics.
